Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
The short version: photos of your litter box stay on your phone. We store only what’s needed for your streak, reminders, friends and family to work. No ads, no tracking across other apps, and we never sell your data.
This policy explains what the Scooped app (“Scooped”, “we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@scoopeddaily.com.
What stays on your phone
- Litter box photos and the “looks” Scooped learns from your scans. Recognising the box happens entirely on your device; these photos are never uploaded.
- Your home location, if you turn on Home check. It’s used on your device to notice when you leave or get home. Only a yes/no “away from home” flag is sent to our server, so the Lock Screen card waits until you’re back.
- Your settings, such as alarm sound and camera sensitivity.
What we store on our server
Scooped uses Supabase to store the following. Most of it only exists if you create an account.
- Account: your email address, display name and friend code.
- Streak and scoops: the days you scooped, skipped or used a streak freeze, and your current and best streak.
- Schedule: your scoop times and rhythm, and your litter boxes’ names.
- Cats and care: details you enter about your cats (such as name, birthday, breed, weight, vet and food) and care events (vet visits, treatments), so your family sees the same cats.
- Friends and family: who you’re friends with, family membership and invites, and who’s on scooping duty.
- Notifications: Apple push tokens for your device, used to send reminders, update the Lock Screen card and tell your family when someone scooped.
- App activity: simple events such as “checked in”, “added a box” or “opened a shop link”, linked to your account, which we use to fix problems and improve the app.
Without an account: Scooped creates an anonymous account on your device so the Lock Screen card can work. It holds only your scoop schedule, streak number, cat name and push tokens, nothing that identifies you.
Who can see it
- Friends see your display name and streak.
- Family members see the family’s cats, care events, boxes, schedule and who scooped when.
- Service providers: Supabase (hosting and database) and Apple (push notifications) process data only to run the app.
We don’t sell your data, share it with advertisers or use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Shopping links
Scooped may suggest products such as litter or food with links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Scooped may earn from qualifying purchases. When you open a link, you leave Scooped and Amazon’s privacy policy applies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. To delete your account and everything stored with it, open Scooped and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This can’t be undone. If you can’t open the app, email hello@scoopeddaily.com from the address you signed in with and we’ll delete it for you.
If you’re the admin of a family with other members, make someone else the admin first. Scoops you logged for a family stay with that family without your name. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone, including your box photos.
Children
Scooped isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Email us and we’ll help.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
